AMARILLO, Texas (September 14, 2023)Wyatt Langford recorded his sixth multi-hit game in his ninth Double-A contest on Thursday, including the Frisco RoughRiders' only RBI, but the Amarillo Sod Poodles pulled out a 2-1 win from HODGETOWN.

Langford singled in the first inning, walked in the third inning and came up in the eighth inning with two runners on and a deficit of 2-0 for Frisco (32-34, 63-71). He laced a single to the warning track to score the first run of the game and cut Frisco's deficit to 2-1. Amarillo's (41-25, 75-60) right fielder Neyfy Castillo cut down a runner at the plate later in the inning to keep the lead intact, and the Riders did not score in the ninth inning.

Frisco had four hits in the ballgame, all by the top two hitters in the order. Besides Langford's 2-for-3 line, Keyber Rodriguez doubled and singled in his four plate appearances for his second-straight multi-hit game. Liam Hicks reached base twice, once on a walk and once on a hit by pitch.

Seth Nordlin (2-7) tossed 5.1 innings and allowed just two runs, but was saddled with the loss. Nordlin struck out seven and scattered nine hits in his final start for Frisco in 2023.

Robby Ahlstrom and Danny Duffy completed the final 2.2 innings out of Frisco's bullpen without a hit or run allowed. None of Frisco's three pitchers walked or hit a batter on Thursday.

Yu-Min Lin (5-2) pitched into the eighth inning for Amarillo with eight strikeouts. He had gone seven shutout innings before allowing just his third hit of the day in the eighth. That run scored after he exited, his only run allowed on the day.

The Riders continue the six-game series in Amarillo with a 7:05 p.m. game on Thursday, Sept. 14th. RHP Ryan Garcia (3-9, 6.92 ERA) takes the ball for Frisco. Amarillo has not announced a starting pitcher.
