Seven-Run 6th Propels Voyagers to Victory

Great Falls, MT-The Voyagers went 7-for-17 with runners in scoring position and plated seven runs in the 6^th for a 10-3 series-opening win over Ogden Monday night at Centene Stadium.

Great Falls (26-28, 4-12) snapped a two-game slide and improved to 19-11 at home this season. The Voyagers are now 12-7 against the South Division. Ogden (35-20, 9-8) has lost four of its last five and is 15-13 on the road. The Raptors fell to 12-7 against the North.
The Voyagers pushed the game's first run across in the bottom of the 1^st. Travis Moniot led off with a triple banged high off the wall in right-center. Moniot scored on a Lenyn Sosa groundout to second. Great Falls made it 2-0 with a run in the 3^rd. Moniot led off with a double sprayed up the left field line. With two outs, Amado Nunez brought the run in with a single to right. Gunnar Troutwine led off the 4^th with a double launched deep to center. With the infield in, Maiker Feliz gave the Voyagers a 3-0 lead with a single bounced into center field.
Great Falls used 12 batters in the 6^th to produce seven more runs on seven hits for a 10-0 cushion. Gunnar Troutwine led off with a walk. Maiker Feliz and Jay Estes collected back-to-back singles to load the bases. Travis Moniot walked for the first run of the inning. Lenyn Sosa then cleared the bases with a three-run triple to the alley in right-center. Bryce Bush brought in the fifth run of the frame with a single to left. Troutwine and Feliz each had RBI singles in their second at-bats of the inning. Ogden scored a run in each of the last three innings for the game's final margin.
The Voyagers outhit the Raptors 16-to-6. Travis Moniot finished 3-for-3 with two walks and three runs scored. Moniot was a homer shy of the cycle. Maiker Feliz went 4-for-4 with two RBIs. Amado Nunez and Gunnar Troutwine both had two hits. Lenyn Sosa drove in four.
On the mound, Jack Maynard dazzled out of the bullpen for the win. Maynard (4-1) worked four scoreless and gave up just one hit with three strikeouts. He retired the first 10 batters he faced. Brett de Geus took the loss. De Geus (3-4) lasted five in his start and allowed three earned runs on eight hits with one strikeout and two walks. Lane Ramsey earned his second save by pitching the final three innings. Ramsey yielded three earned runs on three hits with one strikeout and two walks.
