Shuckers advance to round of 12 for best MiLB cap logo

BILOXI, MS - The Biloxi Shuckers' alternate black and blue cap has advanced and is in the round of 12 in Baseball America's 2017 Logomania Contest Presented by New Era. The online fan vote is choosing the best cap logo in Minor League Baseball. Second-round pool voting continues through Friday, June 16.
Fans can vote in the contest at baseballamerica.com/2017-logomania. The Shuckers are in a new six-cap pool, from which the top two teams will advance to the final four. Voting will continue through June, with the following contest schedule:

Week Two        June 12-16        12 teams
Week Three      June 19-23        Final 4 teams
Week Four        June 26-30        Top 2 teams
The tenacious oyster is the centerpiece of the Shuckers' identity, seen in the club's primary logo and home and alternate caps. The Shuckers caps and logos represent the resiliency of the Mississippi Gulf Coast. Biloxi's batting practice cap features the historic Biloxi Lighthouse resiliently rising above storm waters. Gulf blue, sand, coral and black make up the club's official colors. The Shuckers were the first professional sports team to use this color combination.
Caps and all team merchandise are available in the Shuckers Shop at MGM Park - open non-game day weekdays 10 am to 4:30 pm, game day weekdays 10 am to 4 pm and during Shuckers home games - and at shuckers.milbstore.com.
The Shuckers and Jumbo Shrimp continue their series at MGM Park on Monday night. Brewers' No. 20 prospect Corbin Burnes  First pitch is set for 6:35 pm with coverage beginning at 6:15 p.m. on the Biloxi Shuckers Radio Network's flagship station WGCM 1240 AM/100.9 FM and the TuneIn Radio app.

Military Monday presented by Keesler Federal Credit Union - All active and retired military will be able to purchase $7 Reserved Level tickets with valid ID and receive a free haircut voucher courtesy of SportClips with military ticket purchase at the Shuckers box office. There will also be a special $12 reserved ticket offer for the military that includes a hot dog, chips, and drink. The Shuckers will wear military-themed jerseys during each Monday home game to salute our servicemen and women!
