Shuckers Say 'Thank You' In Final Regular Season Series

Guided by 2018 Southern League Manager of the Year Mike Guererro, the Biloxi Shuckers return to MGM Park to finish the regular season and get ready for the playoffs with a five-game series against the Birmingham Barons from August 30 to September 3. The first ever Shucktoberfest, a special Labor Day buffet and Fan Appreciation Day are just part of the festivities as the Shuckers celebrate the end of summer and the start of the postseason.
Thursday, August 30 at 6:35 PM: Double Play Thursday presented by Polk's Meat Products, Yuengling, Coca-Cola and Kicker 108
Join the Shuckers for another Double Play Thursday at the ballpark as they start their series against the Birmingham Barons. Fans can enjoy $2 hot dogs, $2 Yuengling drafts, $2 Coca-Cola products and $3 weekly draft specials. Plus, the 'Double Play' ticket is available, which includes one Reserved Level seat paired with two drink vouchers for only $10. It's also Gulfport Night at the park, so join the Shuckers in celebrating one of the many beautiful coastal towns along our Mississippi Gulf Coast! Arrive when the gates open for a pregame performance by James Gilles on the dugout at 5:30 pm, followed by a 6:35 pm first pitch.
Named the Southern League Most Outstanding Pitcher for 2018 on Wednesday, RHP Zack Brown gets the start for the Shuckers in game one of the series against the Barons. Brown leads the league with a 2.48 ERA and has been the Shuckers ace all season. Biloxi has gone 19-2 in games that Brown has made an appearance.
Friday, August 31 at 6:35 PM: Fireworks Friday presented by Alpha Media
Join the Shuckers for the final fireworks extravaganza of the 2018 season! Cheer on your Shuckers as they look to lock up a second half South Division title, and stick around for the best fireworks show on the Mississippi Gulf Coast. Whataburger will be set up on the concourse and hanging out with Shuckers fans throughout the game! Gates open at 5:30 pm for a 6:35 pm first pitch with tickets starting at just $7.
After setting multiple Shuckers records and achieving new career highs in almost every offensive category, Corey Ray was named the Southern League Most Valuable Player on Wednesday. Ray has launched nine leadoff homers this season and continues to electrify the Shuckers batting order from the top spot in the lineup.
Saturday, September 1 at 6:35 PM: Shucktoberfest with Shuckers Stein Giveaway
Introducing SHUCKTOBERFEST! Be one of the first 1,000 fans through the gates of MGM Park to receive a Shuckers Stein! Shuckers fans 21-and-older can enjoy the ballpark's draft beer selection for just $5 per beer and are invited to participate in our in-game Shucktoberfest Scramble to win prizes! Young Shuckers fans can arrive early and participate in the New Orleans Saints Experience, which will be set up from 4:00 to 6:00 pm. The Saints' mascot Gumbo will be at the ballpark throughout the game for a special meet and greet with fans, and Arabella's Fate will be onsite for a special pregame concert. Gates open at 5:30 pm for a 6:35 pm first pitch.
Another piece of the Shuckers league-leading pitching staff, RHP Trey Supak toes the slab for the Shuckers on Saturday night. Supak has allowed just five earned runs over his last 36.0 innings, and has picked up a win in four of his last five starts.
Sunday, September 2 at 4:05 PM: Fan Appreciation Day and Military Salute Sunday presented by Keesler Federal Credit Union
Happy Shuckers Fan Appreciation Day! The Shuckers can't wait to celebrate our fans at the ballpark with special giveaways throughout the game, player autographs, $5 draft beer, postgame catch on the field and more! It's also Military Salute Sunday where Shuckers players will be dressed out in special military-themed jerseys throughout the game, and all active military personnel and veterans can purchase $8 Reserved Level tickets or $10 Dugout Box Level tickets by presenting a valid I.D.  Family 4-packs are also available every Sunday, which include four Reserved Level tickets paired with four hot dogs, four chips and four drinks, all for only $60. Select Shuckers players will be on the concourse signing autographs before the game, and don't forget to bring your glove for catch on the field after the game!  Gates open at 3:00 pm for a 4:05 pm first pitch.
Nobody has hit the long ball like the Shuckers this season. Biloxi has left the yard 142 times this year in 135 games, which is not just the most homers in the Southern League this year, but the most in the Southern League since the Chattanooga Lookouts hit 155 in 2001.
Monday, September 3 at 1:05 PM: Labor Day Buffet and Doggone Monday presented by Raising Cane's
Take in some mid-afternoon Shuckers baseball in the final game of the 2018 regular season from the suite level, as the Shuckers are giving fans the opportunity to purchase a Labor Day Lunch Buffet ticket. For just $41 per person, fans can enjoy the game from our Bud Light Upper Deck with access to the Mercedes-Benz Club for a complimentary buffet featuring hot dogs, chicken caesar salad, cheese tortellini, penne pasta with Italian sausage, grilled chicken with peppers, blackened Delta catfish, grilled veggies, chocolate covered strawberries and more! It's also the final Doggone Monday presented by Raising Cane's. Purchase a $7 Berm ticket that grants access to the game for you and your dog to cheer on the Biloxi Shuckers from the berm as they conclude their series with the Barons. Gates open at noon, so arrive early to participate with your pooch in our pregame pup parade on the field. Schooner's Specials are also available at the concession stand, which are good for a hot dog, chips and drink for only $5. Plus, draft beer is just $5 on all selections at the stadium while supplies last. First pitch is 1:05 pm.
Day or night, the Shuckers have been remarkable at home, posting a franchise-best 44 wins at home before starting their final five of the season. They also have the best winning percentage at home in the Southern League this season, winning 68% of their games at MGM Park.
