The Colorado Springs Sky Sox staged a ninth-inning rally, but the Reno Aces held on for a 7-6 win in front of 4,825 at Security Service Field Sunday afternoon.

Colorado Springs (60-38) answered Reno's four-run top of the fourth with five runs in the bottom half of the fourth inning to take their first lead. After the Sox loaded the bases three batters into the frame, Tyler Heineman lined a two-run single to centerfield, scoring Ivan De Jesus and Nate Orf.
Three batters later, Kyle Wren lined a two-run double on the first pitch from Jake Buchanan, scoring Chris Colabello and Heineman to tie the game at four. Mauricio Dubón grounded the next pitch into left field, giving the Sox a 5-4 lead on Dubon's third hit in as many at-bats. The shortstop and No. 2 hitter extended his hitting streak to seven games, with Dubon recording at least two hits in six of those contests.
De Jesus would tack on a RBI of his own in the ninth inning, blooping a single to shallow right field to score Wren and close the deficit to a run. With his two-hit game, De Jesus extended his on-base streak to 40 games, which places him atop the franchise leaderboard in a tie with both Trenidad Hubbard and Nelson Liriano.
The Sky Sox and Aces conclude their season series Monday night at 6:40 p.m. MT, when RHP Brandon Woodruff (6-4, 4.30 ERA) makes his second rehab start with Colorado Springs against Reno RHP Matt Koch (2-1, 7.07 ERA).
