Nate Orf drove in two runs and Ivan De Jesus had a three-hit game, but the New Orleans Baby Cakes scored in the first six innings to give the Colorado Springs Sky Sox a 14-4 loss Wednesday night in front of 2,445 at Security Service Field.

Nate Orf drove in two runs and Ivan De Jesus had a three-hit game, but the New Orleans Baby Cakes scored in the first six innings to give the Colorado Springs Sky Sox a 14-4 loss Wednesday night in front of 2,445 at Security Service Field.

Orf put Colorado Springs (25-17) on the board in the fourth inning, lining a RBI single to score Brett Phillips, who tripled with two outs to continue the inning. The Sox second baseman drove in his second run of the night in the next at-bat, grounding out to shortstop to plate Garrett Cooper in the sixth inning.
Phillips recorded a two-hit night, lining a triple and a double in back-to-back at-bats, the latter of which scored Ryan Cordell in the sixth inning before Orf stepped up to the plate.

Meanwhile, De Jesus recorded his third three-hit night of the season with two singles and a seventh-inning double, which scored Lewis Brinson for the fourth run of the night and third in the past two frames.
The Sky Sox aim for the first win of the homestand Thursday night, when RHP Paolo Espino (4-0, 2.54) looks to remain undefeated against New Orleans LHP Adam Conley (0-2, 6.23).
