The Colorado Springs Sky Sox settled for a series split, dropping the Sunday matinee to the New Orleans Baby Cakes, 7-1, in front of 4,214 at the Shrine on Airline.

Colorado Springs broke up the shutout bid in the ninth inning, with Tyler Heineman scoring on a fielder's choice from Brett Phillips with the bases loaded for the outfielder's 47th RBI of the season. Kyle Wren led the Sox offense with two of the team's four total hits from the leadoff position.
The Sky Sox (43-30) return home for a five-game series in four days starting Monday night at 6:40 p.m. MT. RHP Angel Ventura (2-1, 3.00) seeks his second straight win in his first start at Security Service Field against the Omaha Storm Chasers.
