The Colorado Springs jumped out to an early lead, but the Round Rock Express scored in four consecutive innings to win 9-3 in front of 2,160 at Security Service Field Wednesday night.

The Sky Sox (33-23) opened the scoring with their first first-inning run against the Express. Garrett Cooper drove in run No. 45 in his first at-bat of the series, grounding a two-out single to left field to score Lewis Brinson. <o:p>
The hosts plated another run in the fifth inning without a hit. After a hit batsman, a walk and an error, Nate Orf lofted a sacrifice fly to right field, plating Ivan De Jesus and cutting the deficit to 7-2.<o:p>
The Sox designated hitter added another RBI to his stat line in the ninth inning, hitting a double to the right field corner to easily plate Cooper for his 25th run batted in of the season. <o:p>
Colorado Springs looks to secure a series split Thursday night at 6:40 p.m. MT. RHP Brandon Woodruff (6-4, 3.36) takes the mound for the Sox, aiming to bounce back from Saturday's defeat in Oklahoma City, against Round Rock right-hander Tyler Wagner (1-5, 7.71). The series finale is also $3 Thirsty Thursday, presented by Rocky Mountain Coors, as well as Military Appreciation Night.<o:p>
