SRP Park to Host Inaugural HBCU Baseball Classic on March 20th

HBCU Baseball Classic is Presented by Nissan in partnership with Miracle Nissan of Augusta & North Augusta

NORTH AUGUSTA, SC: SRP Park, in partnership with Miracle Nissan of Augusta and North Augusta and Paine College (National Christian Collegiate Athletic Conference), is excited to host the inaugural HBCU Baseball Classic presented by Nissan on Sunday, March 20th, 2022. First pitch of Game One is slated for 1:05PM and gates will open at 12:30PM.

Game 1 of the HBCU Classic will feature two HBCU schools from the NCAA Division II’s SIAC Conference, Kentucky State University and Benedict College. Game 2 will kick off at 4:05PM as tourney host Paine College will battle against Florida National University (Continental Athletic Conference).

“We are extremely excited to host the Inaugural HBCU Baseball Classic at SRP Park,” stated Brandon Greene, GreenJackets General Manager. “Thanks to Nissan and Miracle Nissan of Augusta and North Augusta’s generous partnership, we are able to put together a great afternoon of college baseball at SRP Park. We hope you will turnout for this great opportunity for these HBCU schools.”

Tickets for the public are on sale now and can be purchased by visiting www.greenjacketsbaseball.com**. Lower Bowl Tickets** will be $7 each and a portion of ticket sales will go to the Paine College Baseball Program. Kids 12-Under are encouraged to wear their uniforms from their local team. All kids wearing their uniform will receive free access to the Augusta University Health Kids Zone during the game.
