Chris Beasley, Director of Food & Beverage | Birthday: June 30th | Hometown: Edmond, Oklahoma
Chris Beasley joined the Intimidators/Cannon Ballers front office team in 2019. After his first successful season in Minor League Baseball, including capturing the Levy President's Excellence Award for Sanitation (#1 sanitation score in MiLB among Levy members), Chris is excited to continue to improve the food and beverage experience at the new stadium. He has over 20 years of experience in the food and beverage industry, spotting up everywhere from Hawaii to London. Previously, Chris could be found overseeing food and beverage operations at Charlotte Motor Speedway. Beasley oversees all food and beverage operations at Atrium Health Ballpark, including the makeup of our fun and creative new food menu!
What song do you have completely memorized from start to finish?
I am proud to say that the most difficult song I have memorized is Barenaked Ladies "One Week"
What's your claim to fame?
I was able to convince the most wonderful woman in the world to marry me
What would your perfect room look like?
It would have at least 6 pinball machines, and a Ms Pac Man/Galagy machine (The stand up one not the sit down). It would also have floor to ceiling windows over looking the ocean.
What's the farthest you've ever lived from home?
Although I have lived all over the world, I have never lived away from home. I truly believe that home is where the heart is, and I carry that mantra with me wherever I am at.
Why did you decide to work in baseball?
Ever since I was a kid, I wanted to sell Beer at a baseball stadium. In my dream it was only a summer job. But that dream turned into a reality where I can sell tons of beer and make a career out of it. I even tried at one point to be a beer vendor at Coors Field, but I waited to long to apply and all the jobs were full.

What is your favorite baseball memory?
It was a game in September at Nationals Park. My wife and I had bought tickets online, however we did not realize until we got to the stadium that we (and by we, I mean me) had bought tickets for the wrong day. Instead of being turned away from the stadium the ticket taker said that some season ticket holders left their extra tickets with her to give to someone in need. Not only was this an awesome gesture, but the season ticket holders that gave us the tickets were at the game seated next to us. We had a blast just drinking beers and chatting with some new friends.
What would be your walk-up song?
Metallica Enter Sandman. Fun fact: "Enter Sandman" will forever be linked to Mariano Rivera, but it was actually Billy Wagner (also from the Astros), another standout closer of the same era, who first adopted the Metallica classic to make a grand entrance.
What's something-big or small-that you're really bad at?
No surprise to anyone, but I am not a good dancer

What is your favorite quote?
It's from the late, great Kenny Rogers. You got to know when to hole em, know when to fold em, know when to walk away, and know when to run
Describe the best experience you have ever had at a sporting event.
Very simply, watching in person the greatest tennis player of all time play at the Australian Open. Just in case there is any confusion that player would be Rafael Nadal, whom ironically my cat is named after.

If you weren't working in baseball what would be your other career path?
I would own my own pizza shop on a beach somewhere tropical
