Stone Crabs and Cardinals suspended after three innings

JUPITER, Fla. (June 30, 2019) - Sunday's game between the Charlotte Stone Crabs and Palm Beach Cardinals was suspended due to rain with the teams tied 1-1 after three innings at Roger Dean Chevrolet Stadium.The game will be completed as part of a doubleheader on August 2 in Port Charlotte.

JUPITER, Fla. (June 30, 2019) - Sunday's game between the Charlotte Stone Crabs and Palm Beach Cardinals was suspended due to rain with the teams tied 1-1 after three innings at Roger Dean Chevrolet Stadium.
The game will be completed as part of a doubleheader on August 2 in Port Charlotte.
Stone Crabs left-hander Michael Plassmeyer struck out five over three innings, allowing one run on four hits.
Charlotte got the scoring going in the top of the second against Palm Beach starter Zach Prendergast. Jermaine Palacios singled to left with one out before advancing to second on a ground out. The next batter was Zach Rutherford , who pulled a base hit into left to score Palacios and give the Stone Crabs a 1-0 lead.
In the bottom of the second, Palm Beach third baseman Zach Gahagan lined a double to center with one out. On the next pitch, Nick Plummer grounded an RBI single up the middle to tie the game 1-1.
The Stone Crabs will return home on Monday to begin a three-game series with the St. Lucie Mets. Joe Ryan (4-2, 2.16) is scheduled to start the series opener at 6:30 p.m. Coverage of the game begins at 6:15 p.m. on the Stone Crabs Baseball Network.
