VISALIA, CA - In a back-and-forth game where runs were at a premium, the Lake Elsinore Storm walked off on a single by Hudson Potts in the bottom of the 11th inning to defeat Visalia, 3-2.

The game started as a pitcher's duel between Visalia's Riley Smith and Lake Elsinore's Ronald Bolaños. Both pitchers were perfect through two innings and Bolanos left after six innings having shut out the Rawhide while holding them to two hits.
Smith had to navigate through traffic in his final four innings but used three double play balls to hold the Storm to one run on six hits. Smith struck out four Lake Elsinore batters and walked two.
The Rawhide tied the game 1-1 in the top of the eighth on a triple down the first base line by Mark Karaviotis and a sacrifice fly by Camden Duzenack. Visalia (45-39/8-6) took their only lead of the game in the top of the 10th when Dominic Miroglio scored on a throwing error by shortstop Chris Baker.
The game turned in favor of Lake Elsinore (34-37/5-9) in the bottom of the 10th when Allen Córdoba attempted to bunt the tying run to third. Pavin Smith fielded the bunt and tried to catch Buddy Reed at third, but Reed was ruled to be safe on a bang-bang play. He would later score on a single by Nate Easley that would also move Cordoba to third.
But Eveld struck out two and held Cordoba at third as the winning run, sending the game to the 11th inning.
Luis Alejandro Basabe began the inning at second but the Rawhide failed to score. Then Potts lined the fifth pitch he saw from Eveld (L, 2-2) into left for the game-winning single.
Blake Rodgers (W, 3-2) held the Rawhide off the board in the 11th to set up the Storm.
Karaviotis led the way for the Rawhide with three hits and a run scored. Duzenack picked up the only RBI for Visalia on the night.

Matt Brill picked up a scoreless inning of relief for Visalia and Junior Garcia tossed two perfect innings from the bullpen.
The Rawhide have now won just one of their nine extra-innings games this year. They've been outscored 17-7.
Visalia continues the series in Lake Elsinore tomorrow night. The Rawhide will send RHP Emilio Vargas (6-3, 1.67) to the bump against Storm RHP Pedro Avila (3-6, 4.26) First pitch will be at 7:00 PM and the live radio broadcast will be available on Rawhidebaseball.com.
