Suisbel Sets Home Run Record, Frogs Fall 5-4
August 21, 2026 — PASCO, Wash.: The Tri-City Dust Devils walked off the Everett AquaSox 5-4 in 10 innings Friday night at Gesa Stadium, securing victory as Peter Burns delivered the game-winning single with two outs. Tri-City opened the scoring during the bottom of the second inning courtesy of Burns.
August 21, 2026 — PASCO, Wash.: The Tri-City Dust Devils walked off the Everett AquaSox 5-4 in 10 innings Friday night at Gesa Stadium, securing victory as Peter Burns delivered the game-winning single with two outs.
Tri-City opened the scoring during the bottom of the second inning courtesy of Burns. Up to the plate with runners on the corners, Burns hit a sacrifice fly to break the scoreless knot. Everett rallied for the lead in the next frame, though, as Luke Stevenson and Korbyn Dickerson smashed consecutive opposite-field solo home runs to set the AquaSox ahead 2-1.

The Dust Devils brought home a pair of runs in the bottom of the fifth, regaining the lead. Hayden Alvarez tied the game with an RBI single, and Kendrey Maduro delivered a sacrifice fly for the second run of the inning. AquaSox starting pitcher Colton Shaw departed at the end of the frame, concluding his outing after spinning five innings of three-run baseball to go along with three strikeouts and no walks.
Brandon Eike brought in the tying run for the Frogs in the top of the seventh, hitting an RBI single after Dickerson walked and stole second base. The tie did not last long, however, as Ryan Nicholson lined an RBI single to right field in the bottom half of the frame to give the Dust Devils a late 4-3 advantage.

Luis Suisbel tied the game for the AquaSox in the top of the eighth, creating franchise history in doing so. Suisbel teed off for a solo home run with one out, tallying his 16th home run of the season. In addition, the homer was Suisbel’s 39th with the Frogs, breaking the Everett franchise record for most home runs in an AquaSox career. The record was formerly held by infielder Dariel Gomez, who had 38 career long balls with the Frogs.

After a scoreless ninth inning, the Dust Devils locked down their victory during the bottom of the tenth inning. With two outs on the board, Burns roped a walkoff RBI single into right field, winning the Dust Devils’ third game of the six-game Northwest League series.
