Summer Is Here, And The Shuckers Are Back At Home

Following the start of summer over Memorial Day Weekend, the Biloxi Shuckers return to MGM Park for a five-game series against the Mississippi Braves that features a 'Gray Out' for a cause, a day to honor our armed forces and a full schedule of weekly promos. It is one of just three home series for the Shuckers in the month of June.
Tuesday, May 29 at 6:35 PM: Brew Crew Tuesday presented by Miller Lite
With Adrian Houser and Nick Franklin making the jump to Milwaukee this season, and former Shucker Josh Hader dominating out of the Brewers bullpen, the road to the show clearly travels through the Mississippi Gulf Coast. The Shuckers celebrate their Milwaukee affiliation with Brew Crew Tuesday at MGM Park. Live like a Wisconsin legend while enjoying $3 Miller Lite, $4 Brats and our signature Brewers' Snack Attack special, which includes fried green tomatoes, onion rings, french fries and, of course, Wisconsin cheese curds. During the game, check the Shuckers Facebook, Instagram and Twitter for trivia and an opportunity to win Brewers-themed prizes. Gates open at 5:30 PM.
On the field, the Shuckers will take on the Mississippi Braves for the second time this season. Biloxi won four out of five games against the M-Braves in their first series at MGM Park, and will look to keep that trend rolling as they send RHP Thomas Jankins to the mound  
Wednesday, May 30 at 6:35 PM: Go Gray In May and All-You-Can-Eat Wednesday
The Biloxi Shuckers have partnered with the Gulf Coast Gray Over The Bay organization, and want fans to Go Gray In May with us on Wednesday, May 30 for Brain Cancer Awareness. Come dressed in gray to GRAY OUT the ballpark and raise awareness while honoring the memory of those we have lost. It's also another All-You-Can-Eat Wednesday at MGM Park, where a $20 ticket grants entrance to the Shuckers buffet featuring Papa John's Pizza, Murky Waters BBQ, hamburgers, hot dogs and more, along with a seat in the Community Bank Terrace! Gates open 5:30 PM for a 6:35 PM first pitch.
According to Moneyball, a walk is just as good as a hit, and the Shuckers have demonstrated that lately. Biloxi is second in the Southern League in walks with 195, and has drawn double-digit walks in two of their last six games. For those not sold on the art of the free pass, the Shuckers have also crushed 45 home runs this season, tied for the second most in the Southern League.
Thursday, May 31 at 6:35 PM: Double Play Thursday presented by Polk's Meat Products, Yuengling, Coca-Cola, and Kicker 108
The Shuckers took 'Thirsty Thursday' to another level with Double Play Thursday at MGM Park. Fans can enjoy $2 Yuengling drafts, $2 fountain drinks, $3 weekly draft specials and $2 Polk's hot dogs while the Shuckers continue their series against the Mississippi Braves. Additionally, Double Play tickets are available which include one reserved level game ticket and two drink vouchers for just $10. Get to the ballpark early for a pregame concert featuring James Gillies and Rob Gronkoski. Gates open 5:30 PM for a 6:35 PM first pitch.
Biloxi owns the best record in the South Division of the Southern League, and a piece of that success has been the pitching staff. Leading the charge is RHP Zack Brown, who is a perfect 3-0 this year. More importantly, the Shuckers have won nine of the ten games where Brown has taken the hill this season. He gets the start in game three of the series.
Friday, June 1 at 6:35 PM: Fireworks Friday presented by Margaritaville Resort Biloxi and Schooner the Seagull's Birthday
Enjoy baseball and fireworks on Friday night with another Fireworks Friday presented by Margaritaville Resort Biloxi. Following the Shuckers game against the M-Braves, the skies over MGM Park will illuminate with the best fireworks show on the Mississippi Gulf Coast set to Summer and Beach music. It's also Schooner the Seagull's birthday as we celebrate the Shuckers' fun-loving mascot throughout the game! Gates open at 5:30 PM for a 6:35 PM first pitch.
More than just home runs, the Shuckers have some of the fastest players in the league, who are always keen to grab extra-base hits. Corey Ray leads the Southern League in extra-base hits with 26, and Troy Stokes Jr. narrowly trails him with 25. Someone has to send those speedy players home, and that has mostly fallen to Jake Gatewood, who is third in the League with 32 RBI.   
Saturday, June 2 at 6:35 PM: Military Appreciation Night with Military Shuckers Hat Giveaway presented by Keesler Federal Credit Union
The homestand concludes on Saturday, June 2 with Military Appreciation Night, as the Shuckers recognize and honor soldiers and their families for the dedication, commitment and sacrifices they have made for our nation. Arrive early for a pregame enlistment ceremony on the field and ceremonial first pitches thrown by military servicemen and women. The Shuckers players will wear special Military-themed jerseys and military discounts are available through the Shuckers Box Office. As part of another Super Saturday, the first 1,000 fans through the gates will receive a Tactical Military Shuckers Hat courtesy of Keesler Federal Credit Union. Gates open at 5:30 PM for a 6:35 PM first pitch. Arrive early for a pregame concert by Bourbon and Lace from 5:00 to 6:00 PM.
If the game is close down the stretch, the Shuckers can count on a host of quality arms out of the bullpen. RHP Jon Olczak has not allowed an inherited runner to score this season, LHP Nick Ramirez owns a 1.99 ERA in 15 appearances, and RHP Nate Griep leads all of Minor League Baseball with 17 saves.
