Trey Supak (W, 4-2) displayed perfection over his first four innings on Saturday night at MGM Park, holding a scoreless tie in check before the offense broke out for a pair of home runs to defeat the Chattanooga Lookouts (21-20) 6-1. The win is the fifth straight for the Biloxi

Trey Supak (W, 4-2) displayed perfection over his first four innings on Saturday night at MGM Park, holding a scoreless tie in check before the offense broke out for a pair of home runs to defeat the Chattanooga Lookouts (21-20) 6-1. The win is the fifth straight for the Biloxi Shuckers (23-20) and ties a season-best stretch.
Supak came out of the gate slinging, striking out the Chattanooga side in order in the first and using the defense behind him to face the minimum in the second. His counterpart, Jordan Johnson (L, 0-5), continuously evaded trouble until the middle innings. Johnson stranded runners on the corners in the first, pitched around a two-out double fromSh Max McDowell in the second and mitigated a pair of consecutive walks to open the fourth.
Biloxi's breakthrough arrived in the fifth when Supak and Michael O'Neill opened the inning with back-to-back singles. Trent Grisham flew out to left and Jake Gatewood followed with an opposite field three-run home run to crack the scoreboard. Gatewood's drive was his second of the season and first since his opening at bat of 2019.

Mitch Nay led off the sixth inning with a double against Supak and came home to score as Alberti Chavez was squeezed into a rundown and retired on an eventual 3-6-3-6 double play to end the inning. After retiring 14 in a row to start his night, Supak worked through the seventh, striking out Jose Siri and Brantley Bell to tally a season-high eight punch outs and cap his effort.
The Shuckers brought home two more runs in the sixth on a Lookouts fielding error. In the seventh, Patrick Leonard launched his fourth home run of the season off Jesse Stallings to make it a 6-1 game. Marcos Diplan and Nate Griep wrapped the game with a pair of scoreless innings from the bullpen to clinch the Shuckers 15th win at home.
The Shuckers continue the series with the Lookouts on Sunday at 2:35 PM CT.
