The RailRiders added a run on a walk and two singles in the fourth inning with
Buffalo scored twice in the home half of the sixth inning off Cessa.
In the seventh with two outs and the bases loaded, Navarro singled to right to drive in two runs, pushing the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre back to three runs at 6-3.
Cessa (1-0) worked six innings on 78 pitches, striking out three and walking one. The right-hander retired 10 straight between the second and the end of the fifth.
Harris (1-1) allowed four runs on ten hits over six innings in the loss.
Scranton/Wilkes-Barre collected 13 hits, including three apiece from McKinney, McBroom and Navarro. Navarro led all players with a game-high four runs batted in.
