Even with second-ranked MLB pitching prospectLucas Giolito opposing him, Mike Marjama kept raking.The catcher took the right-hander deep for his third homer in as many games, powering Triple-A Durham to a 6-0 win over Charlotte on Thursday at Durham Bulls Athletic Park.

The catcher took the right-hander deep for his third homer in as many games, powering Triple-A Durham to a 6-0 win over Charlotte on Thursday at Durham Bulls Athletic Park.

After lining out to center field in his first at-bat, Marjama stepped in against Giolito to lead off the fifth with the Bulls clinging to a 1-0 lead. The Long Beach State University product worked the count to 3-0 against the White Sox No. 2 prospect before driving the right-hander's fourth offering over the left-field fence.

The homer was Marjama's only hit of the game and he's batting .300 with eight RBIs through five contests. The 27-year-old was originally selected by the White Sox in the 23rd round of the 2011 Draft, but Chicago dealt him to Tampa Bay in January 2015 for a player to be named,
Giolito (0-1), acquired in December from the Nationals in the deal involving Adam Eaton, surrendered three runs on three hits, walked four, uncorked a wild pitch and struck out four over four innings. The 2012 first-round pick has struggled in his first two outings with the Knights, allowing eight runs and nine hits with six walks and eight strikeouts and two wild pitches over 8 1/3 frames.
