The Durham Bulls already had a stacked roster, but it's about to get even sweeter.
The Rays promoted Brent Honeywell Jr.their top pitching prospect, to Triple-A Durham on Sunday after two starts for Double-A Montgomery to begin the season.

Honeywell started his fourth pro season by working around three runs on four hits and four walks with 20 strikeouts in 13 innings for a 2.08 ERA with the Biscuits. MLB.com's No. 28 overall prospect started the season with an exclamation point when he struck out six of the first seven batters he faced, en route to a career-high 12 punchouts on Opening Day.

Since being selected in the competitive balance round of the 2014 Draft, Honeywell has remained dominant with his signature screwball and balanced arsenal. The 22-year-old has a 2.56 ERA with 306 strikeouts in 292 1/3 career innings in the Rays system.
Taking the spot of injured No. 18 Rays prospect Taylor Guerrieri, Honeywell will likely make his International League debut on Wednesday at Indianapolis.
With Honeywell getting the call, the Bulls roster will feature all top-five Rays prospects in Willy Adames (No. 1), José De León (No. 3), Jake Bauers (No. 4) and Casey Gillaspie (No. 5).
