Even though he had four hits, Jurickson Profar wasn't holding a bat during his best play at the plate Thursday.
With Triple-A Round Rock trailing Nashville, 5-3, in the seventh inning, Profar broke home from third base on Brett Nicholas' ground ball to Matt Olson. The Nashville first baseman immediately threw home. Even though the ball beat him to the plate, Profar was able to slide around the tag by catcher Ryan Lavarnway, but failed to touch home. When both players realized the play was still alive, Profar faked out the Sounds backstop with his left hand before pulling his arm back and safely tapping home with his right hand.

The 24-year-old went 4-for-5 with a double and RBI as Round Rock ultimately fell, 5-4, to Nashville.
The Rangers sent Profar to Triple-A Round Rock on May 1 to get him regular playing time. In three games since being optioned, Profar has gone 5-for-13 with a double and an RBI. Prior to his reassignment, the Curacao native was hitting .135 in 15 games for Texas.
