Things to Know Before Attending a Wind Surge Game

Riverfront Stadium is constantly changing to better provide for our fans. Below is a list of things fans can expect when attending a Wind Surge game or an event at Riverfront Stadium.

Parking:

There is limited parking at the Riverfront Stadium. This interactive map lists adjacent lots and garages, as well as details about parking. The City of Wichita offers ADA and public transportation services.

Riverfront Stadium Map:

Riverfront Stadium offers a digital stadium map to help fans get familiar with the layout. The map is listed on the same page for fans to purchase digital tickets.

Cashless Pay:

Riverfront Stadium only accepts credit and debit cards. If fans only have cash, they will be redirected to the ReadyStation cash-to-card kiosks inside the main team store and the concourse team store.

To help with gameday flow, tickets can be purchased online. After conformation, the tickets will be delivered online via email and can be printed – at home – or downloaded into your virtual wallet.

Clear Bag Policy:+

Stadium policies enforces clear bags. The bags must be no larger than 12”x6”x12” with the exceptions of single compartment diaper bags, 4.5”x6.5” clutches and medical necessary devices. The stadium does not permit backpacks, printed-pattern plastic bags, purses, reusable grocery totes, fanny packs, mesh or drawstring bags, camera bags, binocular cases duffle bags and large totes.

Team Store:

For Wind Surge merchandise, stop by the main team’s main store next to the River Plaza entrance and the concourse team store located behind Section 7. The main team store is open Monday-Friday 9 AM- 5 PM when the team is away and Monday-Friday 10 AM – 4 PM, Saturdays 10 AM-2 PM and is closed to the public on Sundays. Both team stores are open during the game to fans in attendance.

Concessions:

In addition to ballpark favorites such as, burgers, hot dogs and popcorn, the Surge offers a limited menu of local fast food favorite Freddy’s Frozen Custard, soft pretzels, Dippin’ Dot, beer and liquor stands and so much more. Thirsty Thursdays presented by Corona are back and fans can enjoy half priced regular fountain sodas and 16-ounce cans of Corona Extra, Corona Premier, Modelo, Twisted Tea, Mango Cart, Summer Shandy, and Truly Strawberry Lemonade.

Video Board Announcements:

Fans can purchase a specialized message to be displayed on the video board during an inning break. Messages are limited to 50 characters and cannot be used for business purposes. Each message can be purchased online at least 24 hours in advanced.

Restrooms:

The stadium provides one Family Restroom beyond Left Field, standard bathrooms behind Sections 3/4, 7/8, 13/14, 20, and Left Field.

Berm Seating:

In the outfield, the Surge offers two areas of berm seating. There is no assigned seating in the natural grass hill and fans are encouraged to bring their own blankets. Lawn chairs are not permitted.

Mother’s Lounge:

The Mother’s Lounge is located in Guest Services behind section 10. Mothers can access the quiet, private environment at any time during a Wind Surge game. It is equipped with relaxing chairs, a changing table and supplies to tend to children’s needs.

Kid Club:

Children 12 and under can join the free Kids Club presented by Quantum Credit Union, Pizza Ranch and Kona Ice. Members receive special perks including one FREE Berm ticket on April 24, May 8, June 5, July 17, August 21 and September 11, front of the line access to Kids Run the Bases presented by Sonic and more in-season experiences.
