This Date in Timber Rattlers History: June 22

June 22, 2019: The Rattlers beat Clinton 4–0 at home. Scotty Sunitsch allowed four hits and struck out eleven over six innings for the win on Star Wars Night. Wisconsin broke a scoreless tie with four runs in the sixth inning

2004: The 2004 Midwest League All-Star Game was played at Cedar Rapids. Ryan Feireabend and Brian Stitt were the only Wisconsin Timber Rattlers to make the team. Feireabend gave up a two-run home run to Willie Vazquez in the top of the fifth and the East took a 3–1 lead, but the West rallied for five runs in the bottom of the fifth and Feireabend was the winning pitcher. Stitt got the second out in the top of the ninth inning by retiring the only batter he faced in the game.

2001: The Rattlers won 2–1 at Clinton. Rett Johnson took a 2–0 lead into the bottom of the ninth inning and recorded his ninth strikeout for the first out, but gave up a double to Grady Sizemore. Chad Wiles relieved and gave up consecutive singles to Jason Bay and Clyde Williams before getting a strikeout and a grounder to short to end the game. Johnson allowed three hits, walked one, and struck out nine over 8–1/3 innings for the win.

Ryan Rowland-Smith (Timber Rattlers 2002, 2003) made his MLB debut on June 22, 2007 with the Seattle Mariners in a game against the Cincinnati Reds.
