This Date in Timber Rattlers History: June 3

June 3, 2018: The Rattlers split a home doubleheader with Kane County. Wisconsin won game one 4–3. The Cougars won game two 8–3. In game one, the Rattlers trailed 3–0, but scored two runs in the sixth on a Payton Henry homer to get close. In the seventh, Gilbert Lara tied the game with a sacrifice fly and Devin Hairston knocked in the winning run with an RBI single for a walkoff win. In the nightcap, Kane County scored four runs in the third and two runs in the fifth as they outhit Wisconsin 14–6.

June 3, 2000: The Rattlers beat Cedar Rapids 11–1 at home. Wisconsin scored eight runs in the bottom of the second inning. Chris Snelling went 3-for-3 with a single, double, homer, sacrifice fly, three runs, and two RBI for Wisconsin. Caleb Balbuena allowed an unearned run over six scoreless innings. Jared Hoermann made his Timber Rattlers debut, hit the first batter he faced, and was ejected. In the eighth inning, Juan Ramos hit Jon Palmieri and was ejected. Wisconsin pitchers hit five Kernels. Cedar Rapids pitchers hit four Timber Rattlers hitters. Julian Harris was ejected after hitting pinch-hitter Orlando Hernandez in the bottom of the seventh. The benches cleared several times in this game.

June 3, 2001: The Rattlers won 3–2 over Quad City in a game played at Riverview Stadium in Clinton due to flooding at John O’Donnell Stadium in Davenport. Joe Dusan tied the game 2–2 with a two-out, RBI double in the seventh. Pedro Liriano put Wisconsin ahead with an RBI triple in the eighth.

Scooter Gennett (Timber Rattlers, 2010) made his MLB debut on June 3, 2013 for the Milwaukee Brewers in a game against the Oakland Athletics.

Jacob Barnes (Timber Rattlers, 2012) made his MLB debut on June 3, 2016 for the Milwaukee Brewers in a game against the Philadelphia Phillies.
