BELOIT, WI - Cameron Roegner returned to his hometown and pitched a beauty for the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers in game two of a doubleheader against the Beloit Snappers on Wednesday night. Roegner tossed six innings and got some key support from his offense in the Rattlers 4-3 victory.

Wisconsin (21-22) grabbed the early lead with two runs in the top of the second inning. Tucker Neuhaus reached on an error and Monte Harrison was hit by a pitch. Trever Morrison and Nathan Rodriguez had consecutive RBI singles to score Neuhaus and Harrison for the 2-0 lead.

Harrison doubled the Rattlers lead in the top of the third inning. He lined a two-run single to center to drive in Mario Feliciano and Neuhaus with one out and Wisconsin was up 4-0.

The Snappers (22-23) got on the scoreboard in the bottom of the third. Luke Persico drove in a run with a sacrifice fly to right and the Rattlers lead was down to 4-1.

Roegner, who pitched his high school baseball for Beloit Memoria, went six innings and that run in the third inning was the only one he allowed. He walked three, struck out three, scattered three hits, and picked up his fourth win of the season.

However, the Snappers gave the Rattlers a little scare in the bottom of the seventh. Reliever Braden Webb walked the first three batters he faced to load the bases. He would get a strikeout for the first out, but he walked Eric Mariñez, the ninth hitter in the order, to force in a run. Mike Martin was next and he grounded into a force play at second that scored a run and moved the potential tying run to third base.

That brought Nate Mondou, who had driven in the winning run with a sacrifice fly in Beloit's 2-1 victory in game one of the doubleheader, to the plate. Webb got Mondou to fly out to eight to end the game and the teams split the twinbill.
The final game of the series is scheduled for Thursday night at Pohlman Field. Nattino Diplan (1-4, 7.27) is the scheduled starting pitcher for the Timber Rattlers. Beloit has Dalton Sawyer (3-2, 1.85) set to start for them. Game time is 6:30pm.

The radio broadcast is on AM1280, WNAM starting with the Potawatomi Hotel & Casino Pregame Show at 6:10pm. The broadcast is also available on TuneIn Radio and IHeartRadio.
