Torres Receives NWL Pitcher of the Week

Everett, WA - Andres Torres has been named the Northwest League Pitcher of the Week for his performance for the week of July 10-16. Torres had an outstanding outing against the Tri-City Dust Devils, pitching six innings with no hits, no runs and recording six strikeouts. 

Through his first six games as an AquaSox he has a 4-0 record. After his six innings, six strikeouts and no hits allowed on Thursday, July 13, Torres decreased his ERA from 4.24 to 3.38 and has a WHIP of 1.16. In his young career Andres has collected 136 strikeouts in 169.2 innings pitched.
Torres will take the mound tomorrow night, Tuesday, July 18 against the Eugene Emeralds who are in first place in the Northwest League South division and currently have a three-game win streak.
