Box Score Springfield, MO—A seven run ninth inning broke a tie and carried the Arkansas Travelers to a 15-8 win over the Springfield Cardinals on Sunday afternoon. The Travs had led by as many as seven runs before the Cardinals came back and tied the score in the eighth inning.

The Travs had led by as many as seven runs before the Cardinals came back and tied the score in the eighth inning. It was the fourth straight win for the Travs and gave them a series victory over the Cardinals. Garrett Davila was the pivotal pitcher in the game for Arkansas working 3.1 scoreless innings with his team leading by a run. Several Travs had big offensive days led by Tyler Locklear who had three hits including a pair of doubles and scored three runs. Jared Oliva hit a three-run home run and drove in four.

* Oliva’s homer put the cap on a five-run third inning.

* Oliva hit a sacrifice fly with the bases loaded to put the Travs back in front in the ninth after Springfield had tied it in the previous inning. Jake Anchia then followed with a three-run double to provide some insurance.
