North Little Rock, AR—The Arkansas Travelers and Wichita Wind Surge split a doubleheader on Thursday night with Wichita winning the first game, 7-3 and Arkansas taking the second contest, 3-1. North Little Rock, AR—The Arkansas Travelers and Wichita Wind Surge split a doubleheader on Thursday night with Wichita winning the first game, 7-3 and Arkansas taking the second contest, 3-1. In the first game, Arkansas jumped to an early one run lead after an inning but Wichita took control scoring three times in the fourth and twice more in the fifth. Game two saw Stephen Kolek strike out 10 over five-plus innings while not allowing a hit until the sixth. Joe Rizzo pasted two homers in the second game and three total on the night.

* Andrew Bechtold gave Wichita the lead with a two-run home run in the fourth inning.

* Arkansas battled back and brought the tying run to the plate with one out in the bottom of the fifth. However, Casey Legumina got Joe Rizzo to hit into a double play to end the threat.

* Rizzo homered in the first and fourth innings, a pair of solo shots to right field.

* Michael Stryffeler entered a bases loaded situation with none out in the sixth inning to protect a two-run lead. He struck out two batters before getting a fly out to preserve the two run advantage.
