NORTH LITTLE ROCK, Ar. -- The Arkansas Travelers (32-16) closed the series at Dickey-Stephens Park with a 6-3 against the Springfield Cardinals (18-31) on Sunday afternoon.

MOMENTS THAT MATTERED:
-The Cardinals overcame an early 1-0 deficit with three runs in the third on an RBI single from 1B Evan Mendoza and a two-run triple by CF Randy Arozarena for the 3-1 lead.

-Arkansas jumped in front with three runs in the fifth, striking with an RBI double by 1B Joe DeCarlo and RBI singles from CF Jake Fraley and DH Kyle Lewis to make it 4-3.

-C Joseph Odom accounted for the eventual final score with RBI singles in the sixth and eighth to pad the Travs lead.

NOTABLES:
-With his RBI single in the third, 1B Evan Mendoza has now hit safely in 21 of his last 15 games.

-C José Godoy entered as a defensive replacement in the fourth inning and went 1x1 with a double and a walk through the second half of the game.

-RHP Hector Mendoza tossed 1.2 perfect relief innings, retiring all five of his batters faced in order in the sixth and seventh.
