North Little Rock, AR - The Arkansas Travelers claimed the series win with a 9-3 victory against the Springfield Cardinals before 3,007 fans at Dickey-Stephens Park on Sunday afternoon.

Making his Double-A debut after six games to start the season with AAA-Memphis, 2B Ramón Urías went 4-for-4 with two doubles and two singles. C Andrew Knizner added to his league-leading .429 batting average with two doubles as well.

After the Travs (8-7) plated a pair with RBI singles from LF Chuck Taylor and 1B Dario Pizzano in the top of the third, the Cardinals (7-8) halved the deficit in the top of the fourth. Facing RHP Andrew Moore (W, 1-0), C Andrew Knizner led off with a double. Two outs later, LF Victor Roache brought home Knizner with an RBI single, bringing Springfield within one run, 2-1.

However, the Travs opened the margin with four runs against RHP Jake Woodford (L, 1-2) in the bottom of the fifth. With two on and one away, 1B Dario Pizzano plated one run with an RBI single, followed by a three-run blast by 2B Chris Mariscal, making it a 6-1 lead.

The Travelers padded the advantage with three more runs in the bottom of the sixth, including an RBI single from Pizzano, an RBI walk by 3B Seth Mejias-Brean and an RBI groundout from CF Andrew Aplin to make it 9-1.

Springfield shaved the deficit in the top of the eighth when a two-run single by 1B John Nogowski brought in CF Lane Thomas and C Andrew Knizner, decreasing the Travelers lead to 9-3.
