Tulsa, OK-In their longest game of the season to this point, the Arkansas Travelers (20-22) ended a five game skid with an 11-9 win in 13 innings over the Tulsa Drillers (22-20). Arkansas led multiple times in the game but finally broke through with a three-run outburst in the top of the 13th for the victory. Dario Pizzano hit a pair of homers in the game, both of which gave the Travs the lead. He finished the game with a career-high tying six RBIs. Tulsa scored twice in the bottom of the ninth to force the extra innings. Neither team scored in the 10th before both teams tallied one run in the 11th and 12th innings. Max Povse making his first start of the season for the Travs, battled through six innings and allowed four runs on nine hits with seven strikeouts.
Moments That Mattered
* Pizzano's three-run homer in the seventh came with two out and put the Travs on top by two.
* Tulsa scored twice in the ninth, on Luke Raley's solo homer and on a double play to tie the game.
* Tulsa had the bases loaded with no one out in the bottom of the 10th but Stephen Perakslis got out of it getting a 5-2-3 double play and then a strikeout to keep the game going.
* Joseph Odom gave Arkansas the lead in the 11th on an RBI single. They would later load the bases with no one out but a 3-2-3 double play and a fly out kept them from adding to the lead.
* Chris Mariscal bunted to open the 13th inning and Drillers pitcher Andrew Istler threw wildly at third base while trying to get the lead runner allowing Joey Curletta to come home with the go-ahead run.
* Later in that inning, Beau Amaral delivered a 2-run single off lefty Brian Moran to extend the lead.
* David McKay closed it out by striking out Tyler Goeddel with the tying runs on base.
