The Tri-City Dust Devils (42-64) dropped their fifth straight game on Friday night at Avista Stadium, falling to the Spokane Indians 5-2. Braxton Martinez drew a walk in the in the fifth inning to extend his on-base streak to seven games since joining the Dust Devils.

Both of Tri-City’s runs came in during the top of the sixth inning. The Dust Devils produced four of their six hits on the night in the sixth inning to tie the game. Spokane was able to respond in the bottom of the sixth, scoring three runs of reliever Luke Murphy to take a lead they would not relinquish the rest of the night. Tri-City has run into a red-hot Spokane team in the series, with the Indians now having won 18 of their last 20 games.

Coming up in the fifth matchup of the series on Saturday night the Dust Devils will send left-hander Ky Bush to the mound. Spokane will counter with right-hander Noah Davis.
