Gray delivered a career performance in Dunedin on Sunday, swatting a pair of three-run home runs in consecutive at bats. He finished the game with a career-high seven RBIs, notching his first multi-home run game as a professional.
For the week, the Rice product went 8-for-27 (.296 AVG) with a double, three home runs and 11 RBIs in seven games.
Acquired via trade with Pittsburgh on February 22, Gray leads the league in doubles (32) and extra-base hits (46) while placing tied for third in RBI (58). He is currently tied for fifth in Stone Crabs single-season history in both doubles and home runs (12).
He joins Nate Lowe (April 23-29) and Peter Maris (May 14-20) as Charlotte hitters to take home FSL Player of the Week in 2018.
