The young shortstop's growth at the plate and power potential was recently profiled here by Brewers' MLB.com writer Adam McCalvy: Turang finding power stroke
The Brewers know Brice Turang can field, run and hit line drives all over the field. If his power comes, like it did earlier this week in Turang's first career Cactus League start, he has a chance to be special. https://t.co/fnYSf8wg29

Turang started the 2019 season in Low-A before joining the Mudcats in early July. The young shortstop slashed .200/.337/.276 over 47 games in 2019 with Carolina. Turang showed great patience with 34 walks, which were good enough for the second-most base on balls in the Carolina League from his arrival on 7/9/19 through the end of the season. He also homered once, tallied two triples and doubled six times while finishing out what was his second season as a pro in 2019 with the Mudcats.
