ROCHESTER, N.Y. (July 31, 2018) - Tyler Austin spent the first 713 games in his professional career with the New York Yankees organization. One day after being traded to the Minnesota Twins, he looked comfortable going up against his former clubhouse-mates Tuesday at Frontier Field.

The Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders got on the board two batters into the ballgame when Mark Payton drilled an opposite-field home run for an early 1-0 lead over the Rochester Red Wings. An inning later, Rochester tied the game with an RBI single by Willians Astudillo and from that point forward the RailRiders never led again.

In the 3rd inning, Austin came up to the plate for the second time against his former teammates and delivered a salvo the 6,361 fans in attendance won't soon forget, launching a home run 454 feet out of the stadium and into a parking lot across the street for a 2-1 lead.

Rochester added a pair of three-run home runs later in the game from Taylor Motter and Jon Kemmer to finish off the scoring, ultimately claiming an 8-3 win.
Zack Zehner went 2-for-3 with a HBP in the loss, and Luke Voit (1-for-4) notched a single in the seventh inning in his first game in the Yankees organization since being acquired in a trade from the St. Louis Cardinals over the weekend.
Scranton/Wilkes-Barre sends RHP Erik Swanson (1-1, 4.30) to the mound against RHP Zack Littell (2-4, 3.63) on the third day of this series. First pitch is set for Tuesday at 7:05 p.m. with pregame coverage beginning at 6:35 p.m. with Adam Marco and Adam Giardino on NEPA Sports Radio The Game and the RailRiders Radio Network.
