ValleyCats Introduce RHP Kumar Rocker

TROY, NY - The Tri-City ValleyCats introduced RHP Kumar Rocker today after his arrival in Tri-City during last night's matchup with the Windy City ThunderBolts. The 22-year-old Rocker, who agreed to terms with the 'Cats last week, went 28-10 with a 2.89 ERA in 42 appearances (39 starts) over three seasons at Vanderbilt University, including a 19-strikeout no-hitter in the 2019 NCAA Super Regional against Duke. The Vanderbilt standout and College World Series Champion joined the 'Cats last night and will begin workouts with the team before appearing for the 'Cats in preparation for the 2022 MLB Draft.
During his introduction, Kumar was presented with his ValleyCats home jersey by skipper Pete Incaviglia. He will wear number 32.
