Villavicencio's Big Night Keys Claws 6-4 Win in 10

SPARTANBURG, SC - Juan Villavicencio, who went 4-4 in the game, singled home the winning run in the 10th inning as the BlueClaws topped Hub City 6-4 on Tuesday night.

Jersey Shore won the series opener in their final series of the season and in their first game in Spartanburg.

Hub City tied the game in the ninth on a home run by Antonis Macias off Cam HIll.

Villavicencio's single came on the first pitch of the 10th and they added another on a groundout by Devin Saltiban.

Titan Kennedy-Hayes threw a scoreless 10th inning to earn his third save.

Villavicencio gave the BlueClaws the lead with an RBI single in the top of the seventh to break a 3-3 tie.

The game was tied up on Arturo De Freitas' second home run of the game. The former BlueClaw (2022-23) had two entering the day and hit two in his first game against his former team.

Devin Saltiban homered and TJayy Walton singled home two earlier in the game for Jersey Shore.

BlueClaws starter Juan Amarante gave up three runs, on the two home runs, over five innings, while fanning six.

TJayy Walton and Brady Day both had two hits for the BlueClaws with Day extending his hitting streak to 15 games.

The teams continue their series on Wednesday night at 6:35 pm. RHP Giussepe Velasquez starts for Jersey Shore.
