Visalia's Bullpen Shines in Wednesday Night Loss Against Fresno

Visalia, CA – The Visalia Rawhide (41-63, 13-25) fell 5-1 to the Fresno Grizzlies (58-46, 22-16) on Wednesday evening at Chukchansi Park Fresno scored three runs in the second inning thanks to two hits, a walk and a hit by pitch. A two out two RBI single keyed the inning.

Fresno scored three runs in the second inning thanks to two hits, a walk and a hit by pitch. A two out two RBI single keyed the inning.

The Grizzlies took a 5-0 lead in the fourth on a two out two RBI triple.

Visalia’s lone run came in the fifth. Adriel Radney led off with a single and came around to score on an RBI single from Tytus Cissell.

The Rawhide’s bullpen was excellent on Wednesday night. Samuel Gonzalez pitched two scoreless innings allowing just one hit and recorded four strikeouts. Augie Mojica tossed two innings without a run and added two strikeouts.

Radney led the Rawhide with his first two hit game at the Single-A level.

Fresno now leads the Highway 99 Rivalry Series 12-8 over Visalia with four games left to play this week and on the season.

Game three of the series in Fresno is slated for a 6:50 PM first pitch on Thursday at Chukchansi Park. Fans can listen to the whole series for free on the Rawhide Broadcast Network via the Rawhide’s website.

The Rawhide return to Valley Strong Ballpark on Tuesday, August 18 to open a six game series with the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes.
