The Columbus Clingstones (35-32, 64-67) erupted early, but lost traction and ultimately were walked off in extra innings in a 5-4 loss to the Montgomery Biscuits (70-66, 35-32) in 10 innings on Saturday night at Dabos Park. Decisive Plays: Columbus roared in front in the second inning on a two-run

The Columbus Clingstones (35-32, 64-67) erupted early, but lost traction and ultimately were walked off in extra innings in a 5-4 loss to the Montgomery Biscuits (70-66, 35-32) in 10 innings on Saturday night at Dabos Park.

Decisive Plays: Columbus roared in front in the second inning on a two-run home run (6) from Carson Taylor and RBI singles from John Gil and Eric Hartman to take a 4-0 lead. Montgomery cut the deficit in half with a two-run single in the fourth inning from Gregory Barrios. A two-run home run from Brock Jones tied the game in the fifth inning. Neither side scored until the 10th inning, when J.T. Arruda drew a bases-loaded walk to win the game for Montgomery.

Key Contributors: Taylor (1-for-4, HR, 2 RBI), Gil (1-for-5, RBI), and Hartman (1-for-5, RBI) accounted for the Columbus offense. For Montgomery, Jones (1-for-4, HR, 2 RBI) had the game-tying swing while Arruda (1-for-4, RBI) had the game-winning walk.

Notable: Columbus falls to 30-33 in road games this season and 4-9 in extra-inning games. Gil extended his on-base streak to 18 games. Luke Sinnard struck out seven of the first nine batters he faced.
