Whitecaps Open Submissions for 2025 Fan Food Vote

COMSTOCK PARK, Mich. (Feb. 6, 2025) - Have you ever thought, “You know what food would be great at the ballpark?” Well, it’s your time to shine! The West Michigan Whitecaps are bringing the Fan Food Vote back to LMCU Ballpark for the 2025 season, and they’re calling all fans to submit ideas for original concoctions that just might make their way into the concessions stands.

“We have a fantastic Food & Beverage team that’s always coming up with unique ideas, but fan submissions bring it to a whole new level,” said Whitecaps Director of Marketing Ben Love. “It’s exciting to see what wacky, yet delicious, ideas our West Michigan community can come up with every year.”

The submission period will run until February 19th, after which, the Whitecaps Food & Beverage team will narrow it down to five finalists for fans to vote on, with the ultimate winner’s dish being available at LMCU Ballpark all season long. Fan voting will begin on February 25th.

Some past winners include the Baco (a taco with a bacon shell), Hot-to-Tot, the Rocky Balburrito (a cheesesteak in burrito form), Mt. Wing-suvious, and Greek Gyro Nachos.

“The only limits are your imagination, and the ability of our team members to prepare the winning item quickly at one of our concession areas,” said Matt Timon, the Whitecaps director of food and beverage. “Have fun with it, go wild, just not too wild.”

The winning submission will receive a Whitecaps fan pack, including a $100 Whitecaps gift card, a Whitecaps hat, a Whitecaps t-shirt, and 10 undated ticket vouchers for any 2025 home games, subject to availability.

The submission form can be found on WhitecapsBaseball.com, Whitecaps social media pages, or through this SUBMISSION FORM link. Recipes may also be submitted via email at [email protected]. All submissions should be accompanied by a complete description and a picture, if possible.

The Whitecaps open the season on Friday, April 4th at LMCU Ballpark against the Dayton Dragons. Multi-game ticket plans and group tickets are on sale now. Individual tickets go on-sale Tuesday, February 18th at 10:00am.
