BOWLING GREEN- The Asheville Tourists split a double-header with the Bowling Green Hot Rods on Sunday afternoon with an extra-inning, 11-10 victory in Game One and a 4-3 loss in Game Two. Asheville erased a five-run deficit in the first game for their seventh come-from-behind win of the season and nearly erased a three-run deficit in the second contest.

Ryan Wrobleski made history in the first game. The Tourists Designated Hitter went 4-for-5 with a single, double, triple, and Home Run. The cycle is the first by a Tourists player since Jhaysson Agustin accomplished the feat on July 15, 2007 vs. Greenville.

Bowling Green hit three Home Runs to build an 8-3 lead entering the top of the sixth inning. Down to their final six outs, the Tourists offense went to work. Wrobleski hit an RBI double and Collin Price lined an RBI single to cut the deficit to three. The Hot Rods answered in the bottom of the sixth win a run and Asheville trailed 9-5 entering the seventh.

With one out in the frame, Zach Dezenzo launched a three-run Home Run to bring the Tourists to within one. Two batters later, Wrobleski tied the game with a solo shot that eventually forced extra innings.

Neither team scored in the eighth, but in the ninth, Wrobleski completed the cycle with a two-run triple off the left-centerfield wall. Bowling Green plated one in the bottom of the ninth; however, Ronny Garcia closed out the win with a game-ending pop out on the infield.

Asheville fell behind 4-1 in Game Two before Jacob Melton crushed a two-run Homer to right-centerfield. The Tourists were unable to push across the tying run and had to settle for the double-header split.

Next up for Asheville is a six-game series at home against the Greenville Drive. The first game is scheduled for 6:35pm ET Tuesday evening.
