The Eastern League announced today that OF Zack Zehner and LHP Nestor Cortes have been added to the East Division Team for the Eastern League All-Star Game, taking place on Wednesday, July 12 at Northeast Delta Dental Stadium in Manchester, New Hampshire.

Zehner, the active EL leader in walks with 43, replaces 1B Mike Ford (promotion) on the roster. Zehner is currently riding a season-best 14-game on-base streak entering play on Thursday night and has compiled a .287/.393/.418 batting line with 15 doubles, three triples and four home runs. His 37 RBI ranks third on the team this season behind Ford and Miguel Andújar. A native of San Diego, California, Zehner was selected in the 18th round by the New York Yankees in 2015. Zehner was named a post-season Florida State League All-Star in 2016.
Cortes has been named to a mid-season All-Star team for the second time in his career after being named a South Atlantic League All-Star last season. Cortes heads to New Hampshire as a replacement for LHP Justus Sheffield (injury). The left-hander from Hialeah, Florida is 5-0 with a 2.83 ERA in 15 appearances (seven starts) for the Thunder this year. In 47.2 innings pitched, he's allowed 32 hits, 19 walks and struck out 44.
Cortes and Zehner join RHP Yefry Ramírez , and INF Thairo Estrada on the East Division roster.
