Chasers beat Round Rock 2-1

PAPILLION (July 25, 2019) - Omaha Storm Chasers pitchers hold Round Rock to 5 hits and 1 run in a 2-1 win. After Heath Fillmyer (1.0 IP, 2 BB, K) opened the game, Arnaldo Hernandez (5.0 IP, H, 4 BB, 2 K) came in and earns his third win on the year.

PAPILLION (July 25, 2019) - Omaha Storm Chasers pitchers hold Round Rock to 5 hits and 1 run in a 2-1 win. After Heath Fillmyer (1.0 IP, 2 BB, K) opened the game, Arnaldo Hernandez (5.0 IP, H, 4 BB, 2 K) came in and earns his third win on the year.

 

In the top of the 3rd Erick Mejia (1-4, H, RBI) singled on a line drive to right field scoring Samir Duenez (1-3, R, H), but not Brett Phillips (0-3, BB) as he was called out at home trying to score the second run. An inning later Kelvin Gutierrez (3-4, 3 H, RBI) singled and drove in Jorge Bonifacio (1-4, R, H) to go up 2-0. That's all it would take to win.

 

Round Rock cut the lead in half with one swing of the bat from Derek Fisher (1-2, R, H, RBI, 2 BB). Andres Machado (1.2 IP, 3 H) came in for Gabe Speier (1.1 IP, H, R, ER, K) to finish the game in the bottom of the 8th and earned his second save on the year.

 

The Chasers return to Werner Park tomorrow, Friday, July 26th to start a 3-game series against the San Antonio Missions. Following that game another Hy-Vee Friday Fireworks show lights up the night sky, then Jameson Rodgers takes the stage for a post-game concert presented by U-Pull It and Just BARE Chicken. Faith and Family night is Saturday, July 26th with a fireworks following the game presented by Werner Enterprises then another post-game concert featuring Stars Go Dim.
