Looking for a fun and unique summer job? The Peoria Chiefs will be holding auditions for a variety of on-field positions on Saturday, March 22 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Tryouts will be held at Dozer Park (730 SW Jefferson Ave) and open positions include: Emcee and Mascot.
Candidates will attend a formal interview with the Chiefs staff and will be expected to audition. Those interested in being the on-field emcee will be provided with scripts and ad-lib game-like scenarios. The Chiefs are looking for individuals with outgoing personalities who like to have fun and perform in front of large crowds. Previous experience is not required but will be taken into consideration. Interested candidates should be ready to work 70 home games between April 8 and August 30.
Those auditioning for Homer should be prepared to perform their own skit or dance in addition to ones provided by the Chiefs. Homer's responsibilities include performing at all 70 home games, as well as any potential exhibition or playoff games. At each home game, Homer is expected to help create and participate in activities and skits between innings by interacting with fans and children. Homer will also represent the Chiefs outside of the ballpark at school assemblies, player appearances, parades and other community events.
Anyone interested in auditioning should RSVP to Katie Nichols, Events and Entertainment Manager, at email@example.com or (309) 680-4040 to set up a specific audition time. Opening day for the Peoria Chiefs is Tuesday, April 8 at 6:30 p.m
