Playoff Tickets on Sale to General Public Saturday

PEORIA, IL - After clinching the first half wild card in the first half, the Peoria Chiefs have announced that 2018 Midwest League playoff tickets are on sale to the public starting at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 11. Season ticket holders can purchase their playoff tickets immediately as one of their perks as season ticket holders.

     The Chiefs first home playoff game is scheduled for Wednesday, September 5 at 6:30 p.m. against the Quad Cities River Bandits in a rematch from last season as the Chiefs increased their longest post-season stretch in franchise history to four straight years.
    Tickets are $9 for dugout and field box seats with individual tickets available for purchase online at www.peoriachiefs.com, at the Dozer Park Box Office or by calling 1-866-MYTICKET. Due to Midwest League ticketing rules for post-season play, vouchers and rain checks cannot be redeemed for playoff games and season ticket holders cannot use the Never a Wasted Ticket program.
    Suites are available as well with 10 tickets at $150. Other group options available are the Suite Level Party Decks at $12 per ticket (minimum 30), Concourse Party Areas at $10 per person (minimum 15) and seating bowl groups of 15 or more will be $7 per ticket.     The first two rounds are Best-of-3 series and the Chiefs will start the playoffs at home Wednesday, September 5 at 6:30 p.m. before traveling to Davenport, Iowa for game two on Thursday, September 6 at 6:35 p.m. If game three is needed it will be at Modern Woodmen Park at 6:35 p.m. on Friday, September 7.
  The Chiefs have made the playoffs 12 times in their 36-year history. Peoria lost in the MWL Finals in 1985 and 1986 before falling in the first round in 1996 and 1998. The Chiefs captured their only MWL Championship in 2002, going 7-1 in the playoffs with a finals win over Lansing. First round exits followed in 2004, 2006 and 2009 before the Chiefs won a playoff series in 2015 and lost in the Western Division Finals before being defeated in the first round by Clinton in 2016. The River Bandits defeated the Chiefs in the first round of 2017 MWL playoffs two games to one. All-time, the Chiefs are 19-24 in the playoffs with a 12-7 home record and an 8-4 mark at Dozer Park
