Druw is the son of former Major League All-Star outfielder Andruw Jones, who won 10 Gold Gloves over a career that spanned from 1996-2012 with the Braves, Dodgers, Rangers, White Sox and Yankees... signed with the Braves as a free agent at the age of 16 in 1993 and reached the Majors three years later in 1996 at the age of 19, when he helped Atlanta reach the World Series... was an All-Star in 2000, 2002, 2003, 2005 and 2006... won a Silver Slugger Award in 2005 when he led the National League in RBIs and led the Majors in home runs... was inducted into the Atlanta Braves' Hall of Fame... ended his career in Japan in 2014, helping the Tohoku Rakuten Golden Eagles to a Japan Series championship in 2013 as an NPB All-Star... finished his Major League career with 434 homers and 1,289 RBIs as a .254 hitter... became one of the youngest players in MLB history to reach 300 career home runs... finished second in NL MVP voting behind Albert Pujols in 2005 when he hit 51 homers and plated 128 runs... finished fifth in Rookie of the Year voting in 1996... attempted comebacks in 2015 and 2016 before retiring in February 2016... was hired by the Braves as a special assistant.
