July 18, 2014

(Charleston, WV- July 18, 2014)-  The West Virginia Power won in walk-off fashion over Rome Braves on Friday evening at Appalachian Power Park 9-8. The Power scored three runs in the ninth to walk-off for the first time this season on a Danny Collins walk that plated Reese McGuire.

The Braves put one on the board in the first on an RBI groundout but the Power responded in the bottom half with a run on a Reese McGuire sacrifice fly.

West Virginia fought back with a run in the bottom of the sixth and then two more in the seventh with a Jeff Roy two-run home run.

Then, in the ninth, JaCoby Jones mashed a two-run home run to tie the game at eight. The Power loaded the bases and Danny Collins walked to bring home the winning run.
