First rounder Hawkins transferred to Dash

SALISBURY, Md. (June 12, 2017) - The Kannapolis Intimidators, Class A Affiliate of the Chicago White Sox, have transferred outfielder Courtney Hawkins to the Class A-Advanced Winston-Salem Dash before Monday's game at Delmarva. In a corresponding move, outfielder Tyler Sullivan returns to the Intimidators roster from the Great Falls Voyagers

SALISBURY, Md. (June 12, 2017) - The Kannapolis Intimidators, Class A Affiliate of the Chicago White Sox, have transferred outfielder Courtney Hawkins to the Class A-Advanced Winston-Salem Dash before Monday's game at Delmarva. In a corresponding move, outfielder Tyler Sullivan returns to the Intimidators roster from the Great Falls Voyagers roster.  
Hawkins, the White Sox first round pick in the June 2012 First-Year Player Draft, hit .357 (10-28) with four doubles, an RBI, and two runs scored in six games with the Intimidators since June 6. He powered the Intimidators to a June 10 win, 6-1, at Delmarva with a 4-hit game.  Hawkins, 23, opened the 2017 season with Class AA Birmingham before a pair of stints of the disabled list interrupted his season. After being placed on the Barons' DL on May 15, he was activated on June 6 and assigned to Kannapolis.  
Sullivan, 24, opened the 2017 season on the Intimidators roster, batting .241 (27-112) with two doubles, 11 RBI, four stolen bases, and nine run scored in 33 games. The White Sox selected Sullivan in the 14th round of the June 2015 First-Year Player Draft out of the University of the Pacific.
Kannapolis wraps the current 7-game road trip tonight at 7:05 p.m. at Arthur W. Perdue Stadium as RHP Blake Hickman (0-0, 2.19 ERA) takes the mound for the Intimidators against Shorebirds LHP Alex Wells (4-3, 1.99 ERA). The Intimidators return to Kannapolis to wrap up the First Half starting on Tuesday at 7:05 p.m. against Hagerstown.
