KANNAPOLIS, N.C. - The Kannapolis Intimidators, Class A Affiliate of the Chicago White Sox have received right-handed pitcher Jake Elliott from Extended Spring Training, bringing the roster to the league-maximum 25 players. The former Oklahoma Sooners pitcher was selected by the White Sox in the 15th round of the June 2016 First-Year Player Draft.  
Elliott, 22, made his professional debut with Advanced Rookie Great Falls in 2016, going 3-3 with a 4.30 ERA (18 ER/37.2 IP) and 45 strikeouts in 18 games (two starts) He averaged 10.8 strikeouts per 9.0 IP (45 SO/37.2 IP) and recorded at 5.00 strikeout-to-walk ratio (9 BB) with the Voyagers. The three-year letter winner at OU compiled a career ERA of 3.92 over 190.1 career innings pitched. Elliott graduated from Coppell (Texas) High School in 2013. 
The Intimidators are home tonight at 7:05 p.m. against the Greenville Drive for the second game of a 3-game series.
