(August 29, 2017) - The Kannapolis Intimidators, Class A Affiliate of the Chicago White Sox, have promoted starting pitcher Yosmer Solorzano to Class A-Advanced Winston-Salem and placed outfielder Aaron Schnurbusch on the Disabled List retroactive to Aug. 26. KANNAPOLIS, N.C. (August 29, 2017) - The Kannapolis Intimidators, Class A Affiliate of the Chicago White Sox, have promoted starting pitcher Yosmer Solorzano to Class A-Advanced Winston-Salem and placed outfielder Aaron Schnurbusch on the Disabled List retroactive to Aug. 26. In corresponding moves, the Intimidators have activated pitcher Blake Hickman off the disabled list and receive outfielder Joel Booker from Winston-Salem prior to Tuesday's game at Greensboro.
Solorzano, 20, leads the Intimidators with 24 games started and 116.0 innings pitched. The right-hander has gone 3-11 with a 6.28 ERA (81 ER/116.0 IP) and 91 strikeouts for Kannapolis with a pair of complete game performances.
Solorzano is the 20th Intimidators player to earn his first promotion to Class A-Advanced this season, joining Dane Dunning  (April 28), Luis Martinez  (May 25), Lane Hobbs  (June 3), Joel Booker (June 22), Jameson Fisher  (June 22), Alec Hansen  (June 22), Jimmy Lambert  (June 22), Kyle Kubat  (June 22), Mike Morrison  (June 22), Seby Zavala  (June 22), Bernardo Flores  (June 26), Victor Diaz  (July 1), Tyler Sullivan  (July 4), Sam Dexter  (July 5), Brandon Dulin  (July 7), Matt Foster (July 25), Mick VanVossen (Aug. 1), and Jake Elliott (Aug. 4).
Hickman, 23, is slated to start tonight's game in Greensboro. The right-hander is 4-6 with a 4.08 ERA (37 ER/81.2 IP) and 52 strikeouts in 15 games (15 starts) for Kannapolis in his professional debut season. The White Sox seventh round pick in the June 2015 First-Year Player Draft missed his first two years of pro ball while recovering from injury.
Booker, 23, returns to Kannapolis after spending the Second Half of the season with the Dash. In 117 games between Kannapolis and Winston-Salem, he is batting .278 (125-449) with 16 doubles, two triples, five home runs, and 42 RBI. The outfielder was named a South Atlantic League Mid-Season All-Star with the Intimidators after he hit .312 (81-260) with 10 doubles, two triples, three home runs, and 27 RBI in 65 games in Kannapolis before earning a promotion to Winston-Salem following the All-Star Break. The White Sox selected Booker in the 22nd round of the June 2016 First-Year Player Draft out of Iowa.
Schnurbusch, 23, is placed on the disabled list after appearing in 43 games with Kannapolis in the Second Half, batting .172 (25-145) with four doubles, a triple, three home runs, and nine RBI while scoring 18 runs for the Intimidators. The White Sox selected Schnurbusch in the 28th round of the June 2016 First-Year Player Draft out of Pittsburgh.
