The Quad Cities River Bandits scheduled game with the Beloit Snappers on Thursday night was postponed due to heavy rain in southern Wisconsin. The game will be made up as part of a doubleheader on Friday, August 10 beginning at 5:00 p.m. There will be two seven-inning games played with approximately 30 minutes in between.
This is the sixth game of the 2018 season that has been postponed due to poor weather conditions.
The Bandits return home to host the Cedar Rapids Kernels at Modern Woodmen Park this weekend. The series opens with a 6:35 p.m. first pitch on Saturday night. The first 1,500 fans in attendance on Back to School Night will receive a River Bandits backpack.

All River Bandits games are broadcast on 1170 K-BOB and TuneIn Radio. Home games are also available with video on MiLB.TV.
ABOUT THE BANDITS: 2018 marks the River Bandits' sixth year as the Single-A affiliate of the World Series champion Houston Astros and tenth anniversary season since regaining the River Bandits moniker, which in 2015 was voted a top-8 nickname in all of Minor League Baseball. The River Bandits anchor the Quad Cities sports market, which The Sports Business Journal named the top minor league sports market in the country in 2015 and second-best minor league market in its 2017 follow-up ranking. The River Bandits' charitable donations reached nearly $600,000 in 2017, including a $100,000 cash donation to Genesis Health Systems, an all-time record. In 2015 and again in 2017, the River Bandits earned Ballpark Digest's award for "Best Charitable Works" in Minor League Baseball, the only club to win that coveted award twice.
