CONCESSIONS GO KID-FRIENDLY AT MODERN WOODMEN PARK

Kids will have a new place to pick-up their concessions at River Bandits games with the addition of the new Kids 'N KARS Concession Stand located in the right field party plaza near the new playground and the Genesis Healthy Kids Zone. The new stand is designed especially for children; it will be just 2 ½ feet tall and no item will cost more than $2 - perfect for small bodies with small wallets. Adjoining the new stand is a counter for adults to order food as well. "This will be a welcome improvement to Modern Woodmen Park, because it's all about kids" said team owner Dave Heller. "Now Modern Woodmen Park will have the only concession stand in the Midwest League that is designed especially for children. And now people seated in the Party Plaza and the Tiki Bar will not have to go up stairs to get food. We strive to make the park a family-friendly environment and this is another step towards continuing that philosophy." The concession stand was constructed as part of a joint venture between the River Bandits and the City of Davenport. R.I.A Federal Credit Union jumped on board to sponsor the stand to help promote their highly successful KARS program.

Federal Credit Union. "Partnering with the Quad Cities River Bandits has enabled us to reach out to parents and youth on our kids' savings club and the lifelong benefits it can offer."

All concession items at the stand are kid-sized and cost just $2. The concession stand will have additional space to serve the growing popularity of Party Plaza pre-game events and regular concessions for fans in the Tiki Bar, the Genesis Healthy Kids Zone or the new playground, generously built by the City of Davenport.

"The location of the Kids 'N KARS Concession Stand is perfect, right near the new playground and the Genesis Healthy Kids Zone," said River Bandits General Manager Kirk Goodman. "This is going to be very popular with parents and their kids that frequent the ballpark on a regular basis. We are happy to further our partnership with R.I.A Federal Credit Union in this endeavor and we feel like it will be a great fit for them and our ballpark."

The Kids 'N KARS Concession Stand will be open for business beginning on Tuesday, August 3 when the River Bandits open a four-game series with the Clinton Lumber Kings.
